Wonderful
nicely decorated and confortable room. ground floor was very practical. staff very kind. breakfast was of good quality and nicely set in restaurant building
just the place a bit isolated. not any shop in village . it is romantic yes but a bit too peaceful life surrounding. Also I may add even if staff is kind in restaurant, they are a bit over the top and pushy, when choice of dishes is very scarce, pricy as well and food is not special at all as they pretend...good yes but not more.

Unfortunately, the hotel has become and events venue with rooms. We found staff neglected leisure travellers.
Good location within easy reach of Florence by car / train. Comfortable accommodation.
Over the past 20 years we have stayed here 4 times. We love the location and the rooms but I’m afraid that’s where our love / likes stopped. This visit we found staff were not attentive and assumed you knew where everything was located. Food in all the hotel restaurants was overpriced for the the quality & amount of food you received. I feel the hotel has a long way to go to attain the usual Melia standard. The hotel used to be a gem within the Tuscan countryside but we now feel that the hotel / villa now make most of their income from events and weddings and this is where their focus lies. We have happy memories of our visits to Artimino but feel we won’t be back in a hurry. Such a shame.

Very Good
Our lodge was roomy and we had two bathrooms.
Very isolated, ideally you need to hire a car so you can go to a supermarket. We were disappointed that the breakfast we had paid for in advance, had run out of food on our second morning there. There were also not enough waiters to ensure tables were cleaned quickly as people arrived for breakfast.

Frankly speaking the location is just over-charming, amongst peaceful and beautiful Tuscany nature. The service and staff are at very high level, everyone was extremely polite and friendly.
